  • HOW IS MY WEDDING DRESS KEEPSAKE DOLL CREATED?
    Each Wedding Dress Keepsake Doll is carefully handcrafted by Lou Peters, using your provided wedding dress fabrics or specially sourced materials to honour your original design. Every doll is lovingly made to reflect the spirit, memories, and details of your wedding day, ensuring a truly bespoke heirloom.

  • CAN I SEND MY ACTUAL WEDDING DRESS OR FABRIC FOR THE DOLL?
    Yes, you are warmly invited to send your wedding dress, veil, or other meaningful fabrics to incorporate into your doll. If you prefer not to use your original dress, we can source similar luxurious fabrics to beautifully recreate its essence.

  • WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO CUT MY ORIGINAL WEDDING DRESS?
    We completely understand. If you’d prefer to keep your gown intact, we can work from detailed photos and source matching fabrics, laces, and trims to capture the look and sentiment of your dress without altering the original.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CREATE MY WEDDING DRESS KEEPSAKE DOLL?
    Please allow up to 8–10 weeks from when we receive your design details and fabrics. Each doll is individually handcrafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, and this thoughtful process takes time to ensure a true keepsake you’ll treasure forever.

  • WHAT HAPPENS TO THE LEFT OVER FABRIC?
    Many customers choose to leave any leftover fabric with me after their doll is complete. These precious remnants are thoughtfully crafted into tiny angel gowns, which I donate to Angel Gowns Australia, a charity providing burial garments to families who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

    If you prefer to have your leftover fabric returned to you instead, you're warmly welcome to let me know — every choice is respected with care.

  • WILL I SEE A DESIGN PREVIEW BEFORE MY DOLL IS MADE?
    Because each Wedding Dress Keepsake Doll is completely handmade and unique, we do not provide detailed design proofs. However, we stay closely guided by your photos, fabrics, and personal notes, ensuring the final heirloom beautifully captures your vision.

At Upper Dhali™, every keepsake doll is lovingly handmade with care, patience, and artistry. To preserve the beauty and delicate craftsmanship of your heirloom doll, we recommend the following gentle care guidelines.

Handling

Our dolls are designed as keepsakes for display and light handling. They are not intended as toys for everyday play or rough handling. We recommend supervision if given to young children.

Cleaning

  • Spot clean only using a soft, damp cloth.

  • Do not submerge your doll in water or place it in a washing machine.

  • Avoid harsh cleaners, bleach, or vigorous scrubbing, as this may damage delicate fabrics and embellishments.

Storage

  • Store your doll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

  • Avoid damp or humid environments to protect fabrics and trims.

  • Store dolls standing or lying flat to maintain the natural flow of their clothing and hair.

• Upper Dhali® ships all orders with the total order value in AUD stated on customs documents. Please do not request that we falsify customs paperwork.
• The customer is responsible for paying all customs fees and import duties into any country. Please research this information before placing an order with us.

Customers who reject parcel delivery due to further charges will be held financially liable, including shipping charges to and from your country and all Upper Dhali® cancellation fees.

No refunds are given for change of mind, however, we are dedicated to the creative process to get every small detail perfect & work is complete once customer approval and satisfaction are 100% ♥


Ready to Ship Dolls
We are certain that you will love our dolls and offer a 100% happiness guarantee. If you aren't happy, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will discuss options.


Faulty Items
We provide extensive photos and videos to show the detail and quality of our work. By purchasing from our website, you acknowledge that you are happy with the product based on the imagery provided. We thoroughly inspect and photograph all items before they are shipped.

Claims for refund or exchange are to be received by our office within seven days of receipt of your delivery. We determine this time frame by the time & date stamp as issued by Australia Post or the delivery courier tracking advice.

Please provide written advice by email. Include written details and clear photographs of the product fault, plus the original outer packaging as delivered. Suppose items are deemed faulty by Upper Dhali®. In that case, we will rectify any problems associated with your product and repair or replace it at our discretion.

When the item is deemed faulty by the fault of Upper Dhali®, I will rectify the issue at my own cost, including return postage if required.

Please note: Upper Dhali® products are thoroughly inspected, including detailed photographs, before packaging & shipping to ensure no fault before leaving the studio.


Lost or Missing Parcels
We ship all orders with insurance. Should your item be lost in transit, we will lodge an investigation with Australia Post to locate your parcel. This process can take up to 21 business days. Upper Dhali® has the right to choose replacement or refund.


International Customers outside Australia
Deliveries rejected by the client/receiver due to non-acceptance of your country's customs fees & charges will be returned to Upper Dhali®.

The client will be financially liable for ALL postage & handling fees incurred by Upper Dhali® for the original route & return route, together with any further costs or charges for the safe return of the product.

A restocking/administration fee of $100 will also be payable. We will refund or replace when the item has been received in an original and saleable condition by Upper Dhali®.

Should the item be returned in a poor & unsaleable condition, no refund will be due to the client.


Acceptance of refund or replacement
We will accept/deny refunds or exchanges within five business days of request. If approved, the customer is to send the parcel within two business days, including the original packaging, by regular tracked postage with signature on delivery and send tracking information to our office.

Upper Dhali® must receive items in pristine condition. Also, including items that have not been tampered with, have any retail seals broken, are not in original packaging and are not in mint condition.

Refunds only apply to physical product items and do not include postage or delivery charges.

Contact us within seven days if your item is faulty or not as described, ensuring you quote your order number and provide detailed information and images.

Items are refunded or exchanged at the discretion of Upper Dhali® within five business days of receiving returned items via the original payment method.

  • Your dress is dismantled with intention and care. We only use what we need to, treasuring the rest.

  • Unused fabric can be returned to you or, with your blessing, donated to create Angel Gowns for families who have experienced infant loss.
