How does the personalised doll process work?
Each personalised Upper Dhali® doll begins with intention. You’ll start by choosing the doll style that best suits your needs — whether that’s a portrait, wedding keepsake, memory doll, story doll, or a personalised set design.
Once your order is placed, your doll is thoughtfully created by hand in our Brisbane studio, allowing time for careful design, craftsmanship, and hand-finishing details that honour the story behind it.

How long does it take to create a made-to-order doll?
Because each personalised doll is individually handmade, lead times vary depending on the style of doll and the level of detail involved.
Typical lead times are:
- Little Dhalings: 2–4 weeks
- Multicultural Celebration Dolls: 4–6 weeks
- Custom Mermaid Dolls & Memory Angel Dolls: approximately 4 weeks
- Portrait Dolls: 6–8 weeks
- Wedding Dress Dolls: up to 12 weeks
These timeframes allow for the arrival of specialised materials, design planning, and the detailed, hand-finished work required for each piece.
