Celebrate a love story with an exquisite bridal heirloom—a handcrafted replica designed to preserve your wedding memories and honour a moment that lasts forever.

The Wedding Dress Bridal Heirloom is a bespoke piece, lovingly handcrafted to transform your most treasured memories into a timeless, tangible part of your love story.

Whether incorporating small sections of your original gown or using carefully sourced fabrics that echo its spirit, each doll is intricately stitched to capture more than just a likeness. It holds the feeling, the quiet promises, and the unmistakable sparkle of your wedding day.

If you still have your dress, small sections are carefully selected and preserved with the greatest respect for the original garment. If your dress is no longer available, we can thoughtfully recreate its essence using laces, silks, and trims inspired by your photographs.

Because your story deserves time, care, and quiet devotion, allow up to 12 weeks for your bridal heirloom to be individually handcrafted.

An Upper Dhali® Bridal Heirloom is more than a doll—it is a memory preserved, a reflection of your love, and a beautiful story destined to be cherished for generations.

The Process

The Art of the Wedding Dress Keepsake

A quiet devotion to your story, translated into a cherished heirloom.

  • Share Your Story – Provide photos of your gown; I will source or use your fabrics to honor every detail.

  • Creative Consultation – We work closely together to ensure the most meaningful elements are captured.

  • Handcrafted with Care – I hand-finish every stitch with intention, honoring the memories within the fabric.

  • Approval at Every Stage – You guide the process with progress updates, ensuring a faithful miniature recreation.

  • A Keepsake Completed – Your doll is lovingly packaged, ready to be treasured for a lifetime.

From Wedding Gown to Heirloom Doll

Preserving the beauty of your wedding day with a bespoke keepsake, thoughtfully handcrafted from your bridal gown and memories.

An Heirloom to Treasure

Using Your Wedding Dress or Sourced Fabrics

Whether you have your wedding dress preserved or no longer have access to it, there are gentle options available.

  • Using Your Original Gown – If you choose to provide your dress, I carefully select and preserve small sections to create your keepsake. Only what is needed is used, and I treat the original garment with the greatest respect.

  • Expert Sourcing – If you prefer not to send your gown, I can source textiles that reflect your gown in colour, texture, and feel.

  • Respectful Handling – I dismantle a dress with intention and care. Any remaining fabric is safely returned to you alongside your finished doll.

  • Sentimental Details – Heirloom lace, veils, sashes, or sleeves can all be incorporated to capture the fine details of your bridal look.

If you’re unsure which option is right, I’ll guide you gently through the process.

A Personalised Bridal Heirloom, Made to Hold Meaning

“You have made her so exquisitely, and she will forever remind me of my younger self. Her jewellery, and especially her earrings, are so spot on; they’re perfect. She will forever make me smile, and I feel so privileged to own a piece of your wonderful creations.”

Lou Peters, Founder of Upper Dhali

Female Founded • Purpose Led

Upper Dhali® was founded by Lou Peters in 2012, emerging from a period of personal grief in which creating became a means of reflection and quiet healing.

Learning the art of doll artistry and creating beautiful dolls soon evolved beyond form and technique into a considered practice of preserving others' stories and treasured memories.

Today, Upper Dhali® represents a new generation of heirloom-quality keepsakes — where craftsmanship, sentiment, and story are brought together to create pieces intended to be treasured for generations.

Made in Brisbane, Australia

Upper Dhali® is a humble home-based studio in beautiful, sun-filled Brisbane, Queensland, where each keepsake is made thoughtfully and individually by hand.

Our dolls are art, created through a slow, deliberate process that prioritises craftsmanship over volume. Creating from a small studio allows heirloom techniques to remain central to the making process, ensuring every piece is finished with care, intention, and an uncompromising standard of quality.
